Attorney Alan M. Cohen has been practicing law for over twenty-five years. Martindale Hubbell, regarded as the leading evaluator of how attorneys are seen by their colleagues, has awarded Mr. Cohen its highest rating- AV. He focuses on commercial debt collection and represents numerous lumber yards, electrical suppliers, plumbing suppliers, dry wall suppliers, sand and gravel companies, wholesalers, suppliers, distributors, general contractors, subcontractors, attorneys, consultants, engineers, lenders, accountants, produce suppliers, provision suppliers, equipment rental companies, commercial landlords, insulation companies, and various other material and service providers. Mr. Cohen also represents various other commercial creditors, including but not limited to general contractors, subcontractors, lenders, accountants and attorneys. His practice covers Middlesex County, Boston, Bristol County, Suffolk County, Hampden County, Norfolk County, Plymouth County, Essex County, Worcester County, and Barnstable County.

Unlike others who write ineffective letters and make time wasting telephone calls, Mr Cohen uses a more direct approach for in state collections. Mr. Cohen strongly believes that if you are unable to collect your money with letters and telephone calls, further announcing to the debtor that you intend to take further legal action will encourage the debtor to hide its assets.

Mr. Cohen's philosophy is simple. He commences suit immediately, seeking where appropriate, ex parte attachments of the debtor's bank accounts, real estate, or income stream. When successful, your debtor will first learn of Attorney Cohen's name when the debtor's bank tells them that we have attached their account.

In addition to using all available collection litigation techniques, Attorney Cohen also is a strong proponent of using mechanic's liens in order to secure payment of construction related debt.

Despite his use of aggressive debt collection techniques, Mr. Cohen believes that it never pays to be rude to a debtor. He attempts to preserve your choice of rehabilitating the debtor into a good paying customer. Furthermore, unlike many attorneys who don't return telephone calls, Mr. Cohen attempts to respond to your calls as soon as possible.

Your retaining of an experienced collection attorney who knows how to aggressively use legal debt collection techniques, may make the difference between getting paid and not getting paid.
