"Relentless Collection Attorneys"

Alan Cohen

Does Your Attorney Use Post Judgment Discovery for Judgment Enforcement?

Post judgment discovery is an important part of the legal process, forcing your judgment debtor to answer questions about their finances to help collect on the judgment. With post judgment discovery, Attorney Alan M Cohen can send the debtor written questions (interrogatories) and demand documents that will determine the debtor’s assets and income. Attorney Cohen works diligently to follow the trail of money wherever it leads

The Law Offices of Alan M. Cohen LLC always aggressively pursues judgment enforcement. Post judgment interrogatories, requests for production and subpoenas help make sure that when the debtor says that they don’t “got nuttin’” or simply go on the lamb, no rock is unturned to attempt to locate funds from which you can get paid.

What are Interrogatories?

These written questions cover every aspect of a debtor’s assets, from bank account information to details about other assets, such as property. The answers must be given under oath and have to be returned within 30 days, or we seek to have the debtor forced to answer.

Requests for Production

Requests for production are intended to get you documentation that proves the debtor’s income and assets, such as bank statements. Again, the debtor only has 30 days to respond.

What Happens Next?

If the judgment debtor tries to hide from the discovery, charges of contempt may await the debtor. Our law offices will proceed with motion to compel and motions for contempt if need be, to keep the process moving and to try to get you paid.

At the Law Offices of Alan M. Cohen LLC, we know how important it is to get your money back. We work diligently and aggressively to do all we can to make that happen as quickly as possible.

Because we use post judgment discovery to move our cases along, you can rest assured that we are doing everything possible to compel your debtor to pay up.

Do not let a debtor try to hide their assets and income from you. They owe you the money and we will do everything within the law to see that you receive what is rightfully yours.

Unlike others, once you have gained a judgment, our work does not stop until you have the money you were owed in your hands. The Law Offices of Alan M. Cohen LLC is aggressive and relentless in pursuing payment of your debt.
